I was hoping to make it a 50 species ride, but having missed both orioles, any vireos, Cedar Waxwings and hearing only three warbler species just to name the obvious misses left me with 45 species if I count a crowing rooster, House Sparrow and European Starling. The best heard and/or seen were Great Blue Heron, Green Heron, Am. Kestrel, Wild Turkey, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Belted Kingfisher, Eastern Wood Pewee, Willow Flycatcher, Great Crested Flycatcher, Blue Jay (haven't seen many this year), White-breasted Nuthatch (same comment), Wood Thrush, Brown Thrasher, Ovenbird, Blue Grosbeak, Field Sparrow and Eastern Meadowlark. Of note, all the birds seemed very busy. Okay ride (I'm out of shape), and good birding.
