Fred Shaffer of Crofton very graciously found it for me, near the split rail fence. When the cannon demonstration started, it moved to the wall of the fort facing the Visitors' Center, and continued to flycatch, chase other birds, and investigate the nearby Eastern Kingbird. Beautiful bird - and thoughtful birder. Thanks Fred! McHenry The Western Kingbird was at Ft. McHenry today (6/26) at 3 pm, before the front moved through. One of the rangers told me she also saw the bird yesterday (6/25) at 3:30 pm. Today (and yesterday afternoon) the bird was in or near the large tree that sits right next to the split rail fence, between the visitor's center and fort, itself. From the visitor's center, walk the paved path toward the fort, where the path bends left at the fence, the tree will be right in front of you. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
