Once a birder, always a birder. Leo >>> susier@STARPOWER.NET 06/27/03 10:44PM >>> On Thursday I was shopping at the Home Depot store in Pasadena. As usual, there were several House Sparrows flying about inside near the garden section. One caught my eye. It was busy ripping off part of a spire from a potted palm plant. I watched it fly to a location that was full of nesting material, also inside the store. By the way, the plant, several of whose fronds were pretty well stripped, had a big sign on it listing its price at $175.00.
