The first bird was in a fairly grown hedgerow bordering an agricultural field along the road that connects White's Ferry road to the water treatment plant. The second calling bird was either far away in the agricultural field or in the woodland on the south side of White's Ferry road. Birding access to this area is on foot from L. M. Stevens Park in Poolesville. Coming from Rt. 28 along White's Ferry road turn right into Spates Hill Road as you approach Poolesville. After about 3 stop signs turn left into Seneca Chase Rd and park in the parking lot of Stevens Park, follow a path to the right beyond tennis courts etc, till one reaches a rail and post fence. The path goes around the fence and ends at the plant access road, turning right at the road one walks between the hedgerow and a housing development. Location details provided just in case this area is in somebody's Atlas block.
