The bird obligingly sat on a branch less than 50' away for a good five minutes. The location was about a mile south of the I-95 bridge, on the Baltimore County (north) bank of the river. The same trip found Great Blue, Green, and Black-crowned Night Herons; Great and Snowy Egrets; Belted Kingfishers; Ospreys; a Bald Eagle; Red-tailed Hawks; and a male Wood Duck. Unexpectedly good birding! Barry * * * * * * * * Barry D.
