The National Park Service issued a one-page "Wildlife Alert" for Bolivar = Park in front of the Department of the Interior building on C Street, = NW. A very territorial male red-winged blackbird has been dive-bombing = passers-by, including people parking on the edge of the park. =20 This park is basically a large artificial pond with a couple of cattails = in it, but a few blackbirds are always resident there, and it appears to = be good enough for a nest this year.
