One nest of Indigo Bunting found near canal at East Cherry Lane. Prothonotary & Kentucky Warblers found at swampy woods on Day Road, no other warblers species seen there. Cannot find Orchard Oriole there too. Horsehead Wetlands Center now have a new name due to changes in staffs. A lot of new people works there now. Chris Snow, the director of Horsehead for 5+ years same time as myself, accepted a position for environmental education in Texas, because his wife joins Air Force there. He will be missed. I'm now learning to id's dragonflies. Still new at this. New to Horsehead list is a Eastern Wood Pewee and the total for Queen Anne"s County was somewhere between 225 to 229 species on my list since January 1998. I will try to stay awhile for wildlife survey but with all the changes and new staffs, most staffs I know since 1998 are long gone to other education study in other states. I still will be around for bird trips for bird clubs. I might try go someplace to do monthly survey with water around. Any ideas where I can do monthly survey like Chesapeake & Delaware Canal WMA in Cecil County or anyplaces with a lot of waters. I love being near bay or river. Any help if you know anyone who needs a wildlife surveyor once/twice a month as long as there is marshland, bay or river around. Thanks. Don't worry, I will be around at Horsehead for while.
