Great long look at my first of this species. He wasn't shy nor in a hurry. A Green Heron landed in front of me at the beaver pond and put on a nice display of preening and fishing while a Yellowthroat on either side of me scolded one another. I guess that's what all the chattering about - as many Y-throats as I've seen I don't recall hearing the chatter before. Wood thrushes, B-birds, a Cliff Swallow and Field Sparrows finished out the tour. Not a bad morning after all. fdp -------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred Pierce (DNRC)- fpierce@avialantic.com Mid-Atlantic Aviation on the Web - http://www.avialantic.com Mid Atlantic Air Museum events: "Planes, Trains, & Automobiles" Sept. 20-21 2003 http://www.maam.org/transhow.html and Avsim Conference Sept. 26-27 www.avsim.com *** World Airshow News - www.worldairshownews.com ** --------------------------------------------------------------------- ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
