It was calling from the short vegetation in the largest pond. This is the area where fall migrant Soras often hang out. On June 1st a Sora was calling about 1/2 mile away on Sycamore Landing Rd, subsequently not heard. So I don't know if Soras summered here, or if today's bird was an early fall migrant. Moorhen called from the shrub-filled pond opposite the Sora.
