Notables were Prothonotary Warbler, male & female at mile marker 27 on the canal, Yellow- Billed Cuckoo at the main parking area, and two Barred Owls at dusk looking at us like we were crazy (which we are, a little). I spooked an American Coot in the impoundment off Hunting Quarter Road, which also started quite a ruckus with the Green frogs. American Goldfinches were all around the field of sunflowers, apparently in some sort of goldfinch heaven. ************************ Frank Boyle Laurel, MD ravenfrank@earthlink.net ************************ ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
