Are there larger than normal numbers of cardinals out there this summer, or does it just seem that way because there are *fewer* than normal numbers of wrens, titmice, jays, etc. after the bad winter? (Or is it just the general midsummer bird doldrums?) It really seems like many of the "regulars" are scarce this year.
