On a vacation day Tuesday, I went through the Eastern Shore on my way to Bombay Hook. I stopped at the sod farm on John Brown Road, and saw a couple dozen killdeer, two pectoral sandpipers, both yellowlegs, semipalmated sandpipers, & least sandpipers. Going futher up 301 to route 300, I turned right and after several miles, I saw a field of Canada geese hosting a lone Snow Goose. Briefly off topic - Delaware was fun, with seventy-nine species, (eighteen shorebirds!) including a female RUFF that has been present since August 10 at Bombay Hook. Good birding.
