Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed Saturday, 8/16, Jim Brighton and I went after shorebirds on the eastern shore of which I will post later. We stopped at a dirt field around 1:30pm just out the east side of Hurlock on Route 392. While scanning through the shore birds and larks I picked out a very pale Longspur and then another, both were immature birds. The horned larks were chasing the birds from time to time, then we picked out a female bird, and while I was looking at what was probably a winter plumaged male it flew south across the road with the other three birds right with it. They didn't come back. We watched them for 15 minutes, and from what it seems it was a family group. I'll post the results from the trip later today. Hans Holbrook Columbia, MD I'll be in touch Phil, nice storm-petrel! _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
