Not too much at KAG, but there were good numbers of Eastern Kingbirds and Robins about, plus young Orchard and Baltimore Orioles, two juvie Kestrels, young White-eyed Vireos, and what appeared to be a family party of Kingfishers. We've seen the adult pair off and on all summer but today they had two other birds with them which we assumed were young birds as their markings (breast bands) were not as clean. Not too much in the wader line, couple of Great Egrets and some Killdeer and Greater Yellowlegs. However the Wild Rice is in terrific abundance this year so looks like a possibility for Sora as they start to move through the region on migration. We also (sh-h-h-h) went over to That State to the South and saw two Mississippi Kites at close range over the Waynewood Elementary School at about 9:45.
