There were at least 25-30 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds zooming around and probably more than that. As I sat in my gazebo, some buzzed around my head as others shot past in spirited chases. Most seemed to be immature males, but there were some mature males and a few females mixed in. I wonder if the cold front being ushered in by the thunder storms will bring a change in the numbers?
