After 8 p.m. we saw another 3 Nighthawks, all moving NE to SW. We don't pretend to understand the logic of these various movements. The only previous times this year when we have seen Common Nighthawks was during our visit to SW Minnesota in early July, when we saw a few in every little town in Minnesota that we stayed in, usually close to the flat-topped buildings in the downtown area(s).
