It seemed rather quiet the whole time I was there, but I did manage to find a few roving bands of birds, and caught up with 10 warbler species (1N.Parula,1 Blue-winged, 1Prairie, 1Chestnut-sided, 6-8Magnolia, 4-5 A. Redstarts, 2 Ovenbirds, 1 KENTUCKY, 1 Blackburnian and a few Canada's), but our best find was a juvenile BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO, my first ever young bird and my friend Mike's lifer. Wish for him it could have been a pretty adult, but for me it was a thrill to see this rather plain bird with a buffy eye ring, curiously sitting and watching us from near eye level. Lots of Red-eyed Vireos and a single White-eyed Vireo, lots of Great-crested Flycatchers and a calling Yellow-bellied Cuckoo too.
