It started at the deck at Waldorf with about four Baltimore Orioles, and = a pair of Yellow-billed Cuckoos around. We decided to head south. =20 On our stop at Allen's Fresh we had a nice flock of about 30 Bobolinks, = and perhaps 20 Eastern Kingbirds. The tide was in, the kayakers were = out, so not much else except a couple Bald Eagles flying around. =20 Heading to Morgantown next we found 50 Forster's and four Royal Terns at = the old peer at the bend in Morgantown Road at the Potomac River. We = also had about ~150 Great Black-backed Gulls at the north peer (Lower = Cedar Point), looking toward the power plant. There were about 90 = Double-crested Cormorants on the old peer just before the new peer = (looking north). At Breeze point we had 22 Mallards, a pair of Osprey, a single Forster's = Tern, and a few Barn Swallows. It was too hot and humid so we headed = home. =20 Returning home and just after the first wave of storms, I had a = Black-billed Cuckoo briefly fly into the front yard. It did not stay = long enough for me to get Gwen. Now I am in trouble. Tomorrow should be a good morning. Go birding!
