Black Throated Green was studying the feeders about an hour ago. Nuthatches have been very active the last few days. The frequency of their trips makes me think they're hiding stuff - do they do that? Two Catbirds still coming around for suet and/or dried grubs. One of them is my tame bird, who visits every evening. Sits around for a while, takes a few grubs from my hand, and leaves. Last year I observed no Catbirds at the feeders after August 9, including the tame one (who denies being involved with the Columbia Catbird Gang). -------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred Pierce (DNRC)- fpierce@avialantic.com Mid-Atlantic Aviation on the Web - http://www.avialantic.com Mid Atlantic Air Museum events: "Planes, Trains, & Automobiles" Sept. 20-21 2003 http://www.maam.org/transhow.html and Avsim Conference Sept. 26-27 www.avsim.com *** World Airshow News - www.worldairshownews.com ** --------------------------------------------------------------------- ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
