Its been a while (I have been in Coasta Rica for two weeks and I am changing jobs thus changing email addresses) for now my new address is beltedkingfisherchris@hotmail.com -this WILL change however once my new outlook acount is up and running at my new place of employment (Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire Department). Today before I came back into work I took a stroll to the Turkey Point Hawk Watch to see what migrants may be pushing through. While there between 0900 and 1100 I came across the following birds: Redstart, Black and White Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Pine Warbler, Red-eyed Vireo, White-eyed Vireo, Phoebe, Pewee, RT Hummer, many female Baltimore Orioles, at least 200 Eastern Kingbirds (large flock), waxwing, Blad Eagle (2nd year), Harrier, and Osprey. This evening I was sent to the Edgewood Arsenal fire station to finish my shift here I was delighted to find scores of Martins flying around with a few Tree Swallows. In addition there at least 1000 swifts preparing to roost in a smoke stack across from the firehouse. The best sighting of the day just occurred as 32 Common Nighthawks flew southerly right over the firehouse relatively low providing great looks at all of them!
