GS BUMED" Subject: Meadowside Nature Center 9/1 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" I arrived at MNC at 0730 and found the birding slow. The sky was overcast and there was little bird activity in the trees above. Two Common Nighthawks flew over the pond. I focused on bushes and thickets and found a Common Yellowthroat, a Wood Thrush, a Veery and four Ovenbirds (3 in one group). It wasn't until 0930 when the sun broke through that I began to notice activity overhead. Birds observed included American Redstart (8), Chestnut-sided Warbler (3-juveniles), Empid sp. (2), Red-eyed Vireo (4) and Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher (3).
