Co, MD on August 27 at 6 PM, just in front of a large storm cloud." I had very similar observation 2 days later. I saw a flock of 18-19 common nighthawks pass low over our yard in Croom, P.G. Co, on August 29 (Friday) at about 5:30 pm, about 5 minutes in front of a large storm cloud. They were flying in the same general direction that the storm was moving (~ESE).
