I say a good portion because we succumbed to the heat about half way around. However, the birds were still incredible as always. Sorry for not posting this sooner, but a next day big day and college move-in got in the way. Here are the highlights: Cinnamon Teal - molting adult male, noticeably darker on the head than the Blue-wings present, while the chest and flanks were the characteristic reddish-brown of adult male Cinnamon Teal Baird's Sandpiper - 24 Black Tern - 2 Long-billed Dowitcher - 2 Red Knot - 3 plus lots of other shorebirds!! I plan to go out again on Saturday. Hope to see more people there!
