A total of 58 species were found. Highlights: Three species of Terns (Royal, Common, Forster's) Six warbler species (Northern Parula, Yellow, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Blackburnian, and Redstart) Blue Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting, Field Sparrow, Grasshopper Sparrow, Song Sparrow, and several Bobolinks. During a Saturday morning scouting visit to the same region, Les Roslund observed eleven additional species. These were: 1 Pied-billed Grebe, 7 Canada Geese, 1 Northern Bobwhite (a very unusual find for that region these days!), 1 Barn Swallow, 1 Brown Thrasher, Cedar Waxwings, White-eyed and Red-eyed Vireos, 1 Black-and-white Warbler, 2 Orchard Orioles and 11 Baltimore Orioles. Saturday's sightings also included over 50 Bobolinks, whereas on Sunday we had a total of less than 10.
