I also found the buff breasted sandpiper at the sod farm today -- at about 1pm. Since this was not a good time of day for passerine birding I remembered about the Ridgely treatment plant. I went there and found two more buff breasted sandpipers (along with about 5 lesser yellowlegs, 8 least sandpipers, 3 spotted sandpipers and 12 killdeer). I'm not signed up for MDOsprey so feel free to note this if you wish. Incidentally, as I was leaving the sod farm (going east around the curve), two bobwhites flew over the road: a bonus for the area.
