This is the first Avocet observation for that site, and one might note that Avocets are not regularly seen in Talbot County. Other species this near the wetlands this morning included Lesser Yellowlegs (10), Least Sandpiper (2), Ruddy Duck, Green Wing Teal, Blue Wing Teal, Black Ducks, Northern Shovelers (2), Northern Harrier, Cooper's Hawk, Bobolinks, one Meadowlark, one Indigo Bunting, Barn Swallows (2), Bald Eagles (2), and a family group of Blue Grosbeaks.
