I was a slow day with only three Broadwings seen. Also: Sharp-shinned Hawk 7 Cooper's Hawk 2 residents, 1 migrant Kestral 1 resident Northern Harrier 1 Osprey 5 Red-shouldered Hawk 6 residents Red-tailed Hawk 2 residents Today, as expected, was a better day. The usual suspects were joined by Simon Calle and Lenny Marcus; The raptors: Red-tailed Hawk 3 residents Broadwinged Hawk 100+ Kestral 4 Cooper's Hawk 4 Osprey 4 Sharp-shinned hawk 13 Bald Eagle 3 juveniles, 1 third-year Northern Harrier 1 The bird of the day was a juvenile Red-headed Woodpecker, which for fifteen or twenty minutes shared a perch within two feet of a resident Kestral.
