Source wjz.com (Baltimore news site): "Sep 17, 2003 6:37 am US/Eastern According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, someone has ben poisoning bald eagles near Easton. Since March of last year, four bald eagles have reportedly been sickened by bait laced with pesticides. Officials say one of those eagles died. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is now offering a $2,500 reward for information about the poisonings. Bald eagles are considered endangered animals, and are protected by the Endangered Species Act."
