Since I live right next to Chesapeake Bay and will need to be at home to tid= y=20 up after the storm, I plan to view from North Beach, Calvert County MD.=A0 I= =20 also think it may be an ideal location from the track of the storm. In theory, birds that remain in the storm after sunset after landfall will=20 remain in the storm until dawn.=A0 By dawn Friday the hurricane will be a Tr= opical=20 Depression and the birds will exit heading due east.=A0 In central Maryland=20= I=20 recommend Rocky Gap SP in Allegany County, Black Hills Res. in Montgomery,=20 Triadelphia in Howard/Motgomery, Piney Run in Carroll, Liberty Res. in=20 Carroll/Balt. On the Bay, south of the Bay Bridge should be most productive, however the=20 further south, the more storm-created problems.=A0 Hooper's in Dorchester an= d Pt.=20 Lookout in St. Mary's may be a bit hazardous.=20 From experience...this will be my 4th major storm at North Beach, I can=20 expect to see something.=A0 Sooty Tern is most likely [and will not even be=20= a yard=20 bird]. Rather than Conowingo, I would recommend Lapidum Landing which is downriver=20= a=20 bit.=A0 The bonus is that you can park in the lot and scan even if it is=20 raining. In Virginia I have suggested to others that Lake Anna could use some coverag= e=20 and anywhere along the Potomac could have something.
