They have been watching since dawn at Sunset Beach and have had the following highlights: One storm-petrel sp. (possibly Band-rumped), 7 Sooty Terns (including one group of 3), and 3 Bridled Terns. Hundreds of Common Terns have apparently been moving in the storm. Also 32 Tricolored Herons have been seen that seemed to have been moving offshore. Also some shorebirds including 1 Marbled Godwit, 3 Hudsonian Godwits, White-rumped, Pectoral, and Black-bellied and American Golden-Plovers. Clearly some birds have been displaced. These observers are on the "wrong" side of the Bay, with westerly winds presumably forcing birds to the other side of the Bay.
