One Sanderling was at Aqualand, and one was over = on the Virginia side of the Harry W. Nice Bridge in King George Co., VA. = The Black Skimmer and Sanderlings are county first records according to = the 96 Yellowbook. =20 Other birds of note were Royal and Caspian Tern, Least and Semipalmated = Sandpiper, and the four common species of gulls. All but the PEFA were = near the Nice Bridge. They (the Aqualand Marina owners) locked the gate = after they told us we would have to leave because of high water. I = photographed the Black Skimmer and Sanderling from pretty close range. = The PEFA was hunting the ducks in the marsh. Ducks seen were Mallard, = Wood, and Green-winged Teal. As usual we could find nothing more exciting than Killdeer at the Turf = Farm on Rt. 228. Cobb Island and Morgantown were inaccessible. Lots of high water but = mostly downed trees. Police and national guard were blocking the road. = They were not interested in my efforts to document new county storm = blown bird records. =20 We came home to find electricity, turned off the generator, and will be = heading to Marshall Hall hoping a late returning pelagic will fly by. Good storm chasing. =20 George P.S. It look like Comcast is off line. There is a Comcast truck at the = corner. Sorry I wanted to get this news out in case anyone wanted to = chase these birds. =20 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
