Whether or=20 not it was the same bird which had earlier been reported as a Wilson's=20 Storm-Petrel they do not know, but they believe that the bird they saw was a= =20 Band-rumped Storm-Petrel. Rob asked me to post this report because they are= still=20 without power. NOTE ON GETTING TO HUNTING CREEK: Joanna Taylor and I tried to go down ther= e=20 from North Arlington this afternoon. The G.W. Pkwy was closed south of I-39= 5=20 and the traffic on Rt. 1 (where they were sending everyone) was worse than=20 rush hour. We finally gave up trying to get there and returned home. Rob s= aid=20 that they took I-495 (the Capital Beltway) and got off at Rt. 1 near Hunting= =20 Creek and got there without much trouble. Val Kitchens Arlington, VA You are subscribed to VA-BIRD.
