The reception took place at the Sheraton in Columbia, which is situated on a large lake-unsure of the name. We checked out the Lake before entering the hotel, and spotted 2 very large terns. I don't claim to be a tern expert, however, the bill was very heavy and completely blood orange, the black cap extended all the way to the bill, and the legs/feet were black. The terns were also the largest I have seen. I am thinking Caspian- and was curious if this could still be a remnant of Isabel. We had no luck birding in our Carroll Co. area for Isabel birds on Friday, and I assumed they all left in the early hours of Friday.
