Fall count was a moderate day. Rockburn Branch seemed to produce the = most warblers in the county with 15 species. The highlight there was a = great look at Gray-Cheeked Thrush. The trail by the pumping station was = the most productive as usual. Sunday afternoon I arrived home from work to a river of Broad-Wings = flowing over. In the short time I watched I estimated about 500-600 = birds and who knows how many I missed? Sunday morning I went looking for Lincoln's sparrows but am very = sorry to say I didn't find any. I did see the first real movement of = migrant SONG SPARROWS with 40+ birds (couldn't find a sparrow on fall = count). SAVANNAHS had bumped up to 6. A MARSH WREN and PALM WARBLERS = were in the fields.
