The hurricane downed hundreds of my trees and I was contemplating having them harvested. I hate to see such a resource wasted, however, I do not know how this would impact wildlife and more importantly the streams in the area. The trees are down in parallel lines, could you take just the trees down or would it be better to clear cut the trees in between, too? Is there a time limit to harvest these trees before they become too dried out to saw or too rotted? Since I know nothing about the subject I would be grateful for any information sent off line.
