It had a slight buffy wash around the throat and had pencil-thin chestnut primary edges, but not the entire primary bases. Furthermore, it was overall a flat gray with long primaries. The buffy throat made me wonder about Bicknell's, but the other plumage characters were not there. Shortly thereafter a Swainson's Thrush popped up, followed by a Wood Thrush.
