We did have a fairly good warbler day with good numbers = but not huge diversity. MAGNOLIAS and REDSTARTS were the birds of the = day. Singles of TENNESSEE, HOODED, OVENBIRD, BLACK-THROATED BLUE. A very = co-operative GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH that allowed lengthy study. A lovely = BLUE-HEADED VIREO was a fall first. ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK and GREAT = CRESTED FLYCATCHER. An EASTERN SCREECH OWL calling in the early overcast = was a surprise. The best area of activity was the "Haunted House" = although the thrush was on the oak hillside. Wednesday we had a dozen SAVANNAHS (numbers increasing!) and a = fly-over adult RED-HEADED WOODPECKER.
