While returning from an alarm today I got a great view of a low-flying (hunting) adult Sharp-shinned Hawk. Best bird I've seen so far from the jump seat of a fire engine! Also a few days a ago I made a rather sad discovery at my house. under my kitchen window I found a Swainson's Thrush. Unfortunatly the bird had appearently broke its neck from hitting my window. New yard bird though! I'll be in the OC/Assateague area next Friday-Monday. anybody up for some early morning romps around the berlin area?
