I happened upon a fairly large group of birds including several migrants, the highlight of which was a first winter Dickcissel. The bird was low in some shrubbery of a large grassy area near some wetlands, with some House Finches and Indigo Buntings. It was very responsive to pishing and I got good looks at the bird's head and the fine streaking on the breast and flanks. Other birds heard or seen included a Magnolia Warbler, American Redstart, 2 House Wrens, a Carolina Wren, numerous House Finches, numerous Indigo Buntings, an Eastern Towhee, Chicadees, Red Bellied Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker, Mourning Doves, and Catbirds.
