Oland Rd was good first thing. On the N/W side, near the farm, the weedy field had around 40 Bobolink, and many Grasshopper Sparrows - both in juvenile and fresh fall plumage, sitting up on weeds perhaps to warm up in the sun. Savannah and Song sparrows were also there. Back towards Lilypons, a single American Pipit was in a flock of Horned Larks in a field with corn stubble. I didn't turn up much in Lilypons, with Blue-headed Vireo, Nashville, Palm and Magnolia Warblers there. Another birder, Barbara (I'm sorry I dfid not get your second name), from Frederick County, flushed a small rail, probably a Sora, from one of the ponds nearest the buildings, though I didn't see this. There was only a Merlin in the bare field where shorebirds have been seen recently, along Rte 85 c 1/2 mile N of Oland Rd.
