Counters today tallied 56 raptors in 61/2 hrs, clear blue skies and a glorious day. Billie the hawk watch dog was out at his post. Red-headed woodpecker was sighted again. Local Bald Eagles put on quite a show. One juvenile flew so low it seemed almost able to touch it. The day: BV-4, TV-2, OS6, SS-31, CH-7, RT-1, ML-2, PG-1, UR-2 The Peregrine came through at 1410, not too long before the count ended at 1430.
