There's been a computer problem the past couple days,=20 preventing its going out as it normally would. However, the word's getting out now that there's been a bird said to be a=20 PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVER at the potato farm along Delaware Route 9, between=20 the entrance road to Bombay Hook Refuge and the (speed-trap) town of=20 Leipsic. (Don't rush to get to the bird!) Other shorebirds on the potato field have included: BUFF-BREASTED and=20 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, various PEEP, KNOT, KILLDEER, and SEMIPALMATED,=20 BLACK-BELLIED, and AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVERS. The bird said to be a PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVER is browner above than the=20 AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVERS, and shows more gold in the speckles on the back.=20 The bird's been photographed. An announcement: At this time, only 5 places remain available on the upcoming pelagic=20 birding trip to go from Lewes, Delaware on Saturday, October 11th.
