He saw 22 Tree and 7 N. Rough-winged Swallows, some Chimney Swifts and 0 Cave Swallows. At his arrival at 8:10 there were no aerial insectivores about; birds eventually appeared and numbers gradually built up. Thanks to Phil Davis for posting my negative results of Sunday at New Windsor. Lisa and I also went to the longspur spot at John Shirk Road and eventually saw 6 Horned Larks, 0 longspurs, 5 brown millipedes crossing the road, crickets, grasshoppers, a small flying katydid, 2 Monarchs. And we enjoyed a rather good lunch at a Greek cafe on Main Street in New Windsor.
