Still, we saw some nice birds! The ridge was rather quiet so we all went to the maintenance yard, which is usually better on off-passage days as it has good habitat and food. Only 7 species of warbler seen but good thrushes. Warblers: Black-throated Blue (3), Black-and-White (1), Magnolia (3), Ovenbird (1, late?), Palm (1), Tennessee (1), Yellowthroat (~10). Others: Swainson's Thrush (5), Gray-cheeked Thrush (3, great views of one), Catharus thrush spp. (3-4), Wood Thrush (2), Red-eyed Vireo (6), Scarlet Tanager (3-4), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (1), Rubycrowned Kinglet (~15, big influx), Swamp Saprrow (1), Lincoln's Sparrow (1), Chipping Sparrow (6), Junco (1, first of year), White-throated Sparrow (8), House Wren (2), Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (3). Fewer Flickers and a big decrease in Catbirds. We also had a Song Sparrow in Military Field which was BANDED -- right leg, red band over white (or silver). Couldn't see if left leg was banded. Any idea?
