I've been curious about the omission, since Gail had mentioned them frequently last spring, and we had a pair in our garden a couple of weeks ago. Is it because the Rock Creek warblers are mostly fall migrants, and ovenbirds are resident here in the summer? Jim, I"ve had at least a couple of Ovenbirds at Rock Creek this season, though not at the ridge. Often they show up in the woods on the way to the maintenance yard.
