Started at Sycamore Landing Rd ? the sparrows were rather hard work, not showing well. I flushed one Ammodramus sp (probably Grasshopper) and had an immature White-crowned as well as the commoner species. A good day for Red-headed Woodpeckers though ? two along West Offutt Rd (where I had this species regularly 2 winters ago) and another 2 along Club Hollow Rd. All birds were first years. There were four American Pipits in with a Killdeer flock on the turf farms along River Rd and a group of six American Kestrels together. Another White-crowned (again a first year) at Dickerson but overall rather slow for sparrows. Regards Clive Harris Cabin John, Md --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo!
