Hiking was more the aim = there than birding, but I still turned up a late blue-headed vireo and = my first golden-crowned kinglets (2) and brown creeper (1) of the = season. Then I went to Lily Pons in the late afternoon. As the other posts have = indicated, swamp sparrows and white-throated sparrows have arrived in = force, and also had my first ruby-crowned kinglet of the season here. A = green heron and great egret were also present--I imagine they won't = stick around too much longer. Highlights there were: rusty blackbird (6, plus hundreds of red-wings) Wilson's snipe (7) palm warbler (1) (somewhat intermediate characteristics to my eye, but = since it had some yellow on the breast, I'd call it a very drab = yellow/eastern) Jason Waanders NW DC jwaanders@starpower.net =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
