Forty-six species of birds were spotted from our circle = over a 12.5 hour count period At times we thought we were conducting a = hawkwatch as we tallied 71 hawks of 9 species. Best birds were 2 Bald = Eagles, a Merlin, Cattle Egrets, Snowy Egrets, and Wood Ducks. We also = watched a Sharp-shinned Hawk fly by close and low with an unidentified = bird in its talons.
