MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit At Black Hill Regional Park, at dawn on the hill above the boat launch, I had a nice birdy morning. Thought maybe the strong westerly winds yesterday would have blown something in but I didn't see anything unusual. However I did finally see the "expected" Red-headed Woodpecker I've been seeking for years! Not in the "expected" place of course. Also at least 5 Blue-headed Vireos, several E. Phoebes in fresh fall plumage, many White-throated Sparrows, RC Kinglets, and my first Juncos of the season. Just down from the hill in the small impoundment I had a Wood Duck couple. A quick stop at Little Bennet added 3 immature YB Sapsuckers. A beautiful morning to be out!
