Yellow-rumped Warblers were in with large numbers - I stopped counting at over 100. Other winter arrivals over interest were Winter Wren, Brown Creeper, and several Purple Finches. Yet there were signs that the breeding season was only just ending. I encountered both Cardinals and Robins which were only just coming out of juvenile plumage. On the 14th, I encountered my first Common Loon of the season in Crab Alley Bay.
